Instructional Systems Design Model Report - The Danger Model: A Municipal and Federal Effort

PROJECT SUMMARY

This project was completed during the Spring 2021 Semester as a requirement of the IDE 632-Instructional Design and Development II course within Syracuse University's Master of Science in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation (IDD&E) Program.  The purpose of this project was to design and develop an ISD Model for application to a real-world performance problem.  Further, this project involved the exploration of established ISD models to gain a thorough understanding of their development, uses, and adaptations to create a useful and relevant ISD model for application, through adaptation, to myriad performance problems.

IDD&E PHASE

This project involved designing, developing, implementation, and partial evaluation of an ISD model.  As such, this project may be described as pertaining to all phases of IDD&E.

REFLECTION

This project served as an exploration of ISD models and allowed me to research, evaluate, and understand established models while maintaining a focus on the applications of these models regarding my specific performance problem.  Through this exploration, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of ISD models and their associated uses.  Further, this project allowed me to work through the development of an ISD model and presented me with a greater understanding of the role ISD models play in the development of instructional interventions focused on closing performance gaps.

SELF-ASSESMENT

This project, completed during the Spring semester of the IDD&E M.S. Program, allowed me to showcase my research abilities and presented me with the opportunity to create.  Further, it assisted me in gaining an understanding of the depth and breadth of ISD model design, development, and application.  I feel that my efforts, on display within this project, were detailed and innovative and allowed me to produce a high-quality product that met the expectations of this demanding course.
